Dear Parent(s) of Enfield 4th Graders,
This year in computer and technology class, I am assigning a homework piece to our regular work in the class. With the current educational atmosphere assigning course work online, I would like to get the students used to having an assignment that needs to be completed on the computer. Starting in October, your child will be asked to do one blog post a week. The blog is moderated by myself. Each post that the students type and submit will be checked by me for appropriateness and then posted. This blog gives the students a chance to read a particular topic presented and comment to the topic presented or to their peers’ views. This will be discussed and demonstrated in school prior to the start.
If for any reason your child cannot access a computer at home, they do have opportunities here at school. I will offer one day a week (Tuesdays) where they could come up to the lab during lunch recess or their classroom teachers have also offered the classroom computers during that time as well.
