Welcome to Mrs. Binkowski's First Grade Class
Welcome to first grade! This is my 15th year teaching first grade at Enfield. I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and state certification in Early Childhood Education. Living in Springfield Township, and having two grown children proud to be Springfield graduates, is a source of pride for me!
Please see the attached links for our Specials Schedule and other specific information about our class!
We had a lot of fun following the Winter Olympics. We used medal counts for extra math problems, and found many of the participating countries on the globe. We are so proud of Team USA - They earned more medals than any other country EVER had in Winter Olympics! GO USA!!!
With all the February snow, we are really ready to M-A-R-C-H into spring! We now have many, many mealworms in our classroom (though we know they aren't really worms). We'll be scientific observers through the next few weeks, watching and recording what happens to them. We each have "our own" to monitor, as well as a class community. It should be fun!!!
***We planted some seeds as well - brassica seeds. Now we have two living things to watch as they grow!!
This week's word wall words are: while, ready, bright, climb, full
